Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Guideline website or submitting a tour inquiry. By accessing our site or engaging our services you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Our Services
Guideline is a tour operator based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. We offer curated expedition packages and customised itineraries for international travellers. All bookings are confirmed through a manual inquiry-and-acceptance workflow. Online payments are not processed through this website at this time.
2. Inquiries and Reservations
Submitting an inquiry does not constitute a confirmed booking. A reservation is only confirmed once you have received a written confirmation from Guideline and any required deposit has been received.
We reserve the right to decline any inquiry at our discretion. Availability of tours is subject to change without notice until a booking is confirmed.
3. Payments and Deposits
Specific payment terms, deposit amounts, and instalment schedules are communicated at the time of booking confirmation. All prices displayed on this website are indicative and quoted in US dollars unless otherwise stated.
Prices are subject to change until a booking is confirmed in writing.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation terms are provided in your booking confirmation. General guidelines are as follows:
- Cancellations more than 60 days before departure may be eligible for a full or partial refund of the deposit, at our discretion.
- Cancellations within 60 days of departure may result in loss of the deposit and a cancellation fee.
- No-shows or cancellations after the tour commences are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellation costs.
5. Responsibilities and Limitations
Guideline takes all reasonable care in the planning and delivery of its tours. However, we are not liable for:
- Delays, cancellations, or changes caused by weather, natural events, or circumstances beyond our control (force majeure).
- Loss, theft, damage to personal belongings during a tour.
- Personal injury arising from activities voluntarily undertaken by the traveller.
Travellers are responsible for ensuring they hold valid travel documents, visas, and health clearances required for entry into Mongolia.
6. Traveller Conduct
All travellers are expected to respect local customs, the natural environment, and the rights of fellow guests and guides. GUIDELINE Travel reserves the right to remove any traveller from a tour without refund if their behaviour endangers others or causes significant disruption.

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Guideline or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
8. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Mongolia. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
